Liturgies of Labor: A Liturgy for Ethical Decisions at Work

Lord, sometimes the right thing

isn’t the easy thing,

or the convenient thing,

or the thing that earns approval.

You know the tension I feel—

the pull between what is safe

and what is faithful.

Give me a clear mind

to see what honesty requires.

Give me a grounded heart

that cannot be swayed

by fear, pressure, or applause.

Remind me that integrity

is built choice by choice,

and that in this moment

I have a chance to resemble You

in the way I act.

Lead me toward what is true

and give me strength to follow it.

Help me to love truth.
